Recalling the Kek Lok Si Temple’s Lightings at Chinese New Year nights   Leave a comment

Recalling the Kek Lok Si Temple’s Lightings at Chinese New Year nights was quite memorable. Firstly, the traffic jams that one had to endure driving from my home in Pulau Tikus to Ayer Itam town. As the roads leading to the Pagoda of a Thousand Buddhas were quite narrow, the traffic jam shall start from the bottom of the hill. There is a steep upwards road leading to the first car-park at the Main Temple complex and another car-park at the Kuan Yin Statue some 500 metres upwards. Having patience is indeed a virtue as the driving time for a few hundred metres will last more than 45 minutes to an hour. The crowd at the Temple is quite crowded with hundreds of devotees and tourists. Putting up a tripod can be quite cumbersome in the crowd. Anyhow, the patient photographer shall need the best angle to capture the best lighted scenery of Kek Lok Si Temple by Night.
