Lighting Up Ceremony of the Kek Lok Si Temple is quite a signicicant event in the local photographers’ calendar. One has to get a good location for the panoramic shot as fire-works was an added bonus to the photograph taken from the hills overlooking the Temple at Ayer Itam , Penang. I had the opportunity of getting the “pineapple view” of the Temple as pineapple plants are actually growing around where I was shooting. As my leg was painful and slightly inflammed, I did not attempt to climb upwards the steep hill for a better angle.The statute of Kuan Yin is blocked by several big trees around the Temple Complex. Anyway, getting some shots are better than getting no shots at the lower angle.
