Turtles Sanctuary at Pasir Panjang, Segari, Perak   Leave a comment

The first stop of the day was at the Turtles Sanctuary at Pasir Panjang (Long Sand), Segari, Perak State. I had been to this place a few years back but it was closed. However this time around it was open and the keepers were washing the turtles holding area. We had the opportunity to hold these turtles for some photographs. We must hold these turtles close to our chest as the turtles keep flapping their flippers and can cause some pain in the process. The tiny dark-coloured turtles are a few days’ old. An interesting fact told to us, is these turtles eat only plants and vegetables in the afternoon. Save our turtles and other endangered marine species for our future generation.
