No internet so No post   2 comments

No internet so No post

After 2 days without internet, it is back but through my handphone instead. My sincere apologies, folks.

No internet for the paymaster by TM Steamyx – as my son used this for his work so he has priority. The shared Modem/WiFi was re-configurated, along with other things but my computer downstairs was not treated similarly thus was ignored by the TM  Technician. No internet at all and no links for me the one footing the monthly payment. Repairing without total completely repairing so shall I pay next month??? That is a good question, folks.

Internet without internet   3 comments

Notice of Apology of Importance.

Internet without internet ………. the uploading speed is so slow until our friendly message showed up –

“There is no Internet connection
Try:
Checking the network cables, modem, and router
Reconnecting to Wi-Fi
Running Windows Network Diagnostics”

Our local TM internet is back to the usual problem even though I had upgraded to 8G with additional payment of extra RM10.00 (US$2.50) per month after numerous complaints until I am so tired.

Though my computer showed there is internet access, the uploading speed is so slow that certain portions of a blog did not appear especially the LIKE section. So, my emails associated with WordPress blogs had increased to 1,157 already as I cannot process these emails. Luckily it had not ballooned to 35,000 like Trump’s allegation Hiliary Clinton’s deleted emails, hahaha, though at one time it swelled to 3,500 over!

Apologies for the slower response.

Developing Your Eye II ~ Day One: “Warmth” — The Quality of Light

I was photo-shooting at the Heritage Festival some time ago under a very hot sun. Light intensity was extremely strong and I was sweating profusely like just came out from a shower. Tried this shot and hopefully my circuits in my DSLR camera are not fried. My sincere apology for the slower start as my internet at home is unstable and I was unwell too.

This is my submission for ” Warmth “. Feel the heat?

Day One: “Warmth” — The Quality of Light

Photography means “drawing with light.” When you take a picture with your camera, you use and record light to create an image. When we’re out and about, we often use the sun — our most abundant light source — to capture our scenes.

The Hagia Sophia is an impressive mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. If you ever find yourself wandering inside, here’s what you’ll see when you look up:

The spotlights on the chandeliers — combined with lots of ambient and natural light filtering in from outside — create a warm scene of yellows and golds.

For your first shooting challenge, capture an image of warmth, using the sun as your source. If the sun is nowhere to be found today, not to worry — interpret warmth in your own way.

Today’s Tip: Consider the direction and quality of light. Front light is great for outdoor landscapes and group portraits; a front-lit subject faces the light source, making it even-lit. Side light is fun to experiment with: the mix of light and shadow shows more depth and can create unexpected results.

Developing Your Eye, Day One: “Home”

“Home”

We stayed on the Island of Penang so in the old days when there were no bridges, we took the ferry to cross over the channel towards our home on Penang Island from the Mainland. When we are oustation or overseas and on seeing this ferry, it is “home” again for us. Presently in 2016, we have 2 Penang Bridges connecting the Penang Island to the Mainland. Apology for the late start as my internet was very unstable and I was unwell too.

Day One: “Home” — Get Oriented

When you think of home, what do you imagine? You might picture a house from your past, your favorite neighborhood hangout, or a city you miss. And while home is often found on a map, it can also be less tangible: a loved one, a state of mind, a forgotten time.

Here’s a literal (and tiny) interpretation of home:

Today’s Tip: Before we dive into this course, make sure you’re comfortable with your camera! Brush up and read your camera manual, or explore the features in your camera phone. You’re free to use any type of equipment, from your smartphone to a point-and-shoot, or your dSLR or something else.

The Countries that are still missing from visiting my blog

Though I wanted the whole world to pay a visit to my blog, this is not to my wish as some countries are still at war or suffering human conflicts. World peace is a compulsory requirement. We wish for World Peace and Harmony for All in our life-time.

However, the next question is that has some of these isolated Island Nations have internet connection with the world? I shall google this and find out.

SP Lim

I am extremely happy and gratified that a total of 144 different countries visited my blog since its inception. From my own country Malaysia to Somalia with a few unclassified identified below:-

June of calamities, poor health and misfortunes   11 comments

June of calamities, poor health and misfortunes

It had become a regular habit to ask for apology and tolerance especially after the good wishes for my mother on her 86th Birthday recently.
After last Sunday’s celebrations, I went to the Outpatients Ward of the Penang General Hospital to look after my left foot which was cut slightly by 2 cm. The wound is growing to about 200 cm with a water-blister. The doctor straight away prescribe antibiotic to me for 5 days – 2 capsules 4 times a day. On Wednesday, I went to see another doctor at the Hospital who said to continue till end of treatment and my wound dressed and cleaned. The blister was cut away and it was quite a painful process. Further dressing shall be done again tomorrow.

This is the end of the third day of treatment and I feeling feverish but unwell even though the swelling has gone a bit. This is the most unfortunate incident I got myself into because of poor unhealthy habit. Health is wealth, folks.

To add to my misfortune, the speed of the internet is so slow that I cannot load any web-sites. Now, I have over 700 outstanding emails. I hope all of you understand my problems and perhaps I have to give up blogging and even photography, all together.

My sincere thousands of apologies to all of you.

Wesak Day Morning 017

Wesak Day Morning 021

Back to my conditional active blogging

After Wesak Celebrations so back to blogging and extremely slow & unstable internet connections, So complaining will re-start again!!!
“This site can’t be reached
aa-mg5.mail.yahoo.com took too long to respond.
Try:
Reloading the page
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_TIMED_OUT”

My blogging in my local environment is affected by the slow internet connection – a boasted first world country with third world facilities due to corruption and mismanagement from top to bottom, censorship and threats of arrest & jail if we blog the wrong and unfavourable things (my lips are sealed especially politics which I nearly always avoid) and my laziness that I confess. Owing to the recent internet instability for two weeks, I have an outstanding emails of 1,894 in numbers to go through now. The majority is from my fellow bloggers which I shall not delete nor ignore.

Bye and be tolerant as I shall definitely finish this back-log.
