As the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Pig 2019 approached the 14th Day, we at Poh Hock Seah Temple must prepare for the Chneah Hoay or Flame Watching Ceremony tonight at the Tanjong Tokong Tai Peh Kong Temple. This Ceremony will begin at the Poh Hock Seah temple at Armenian Street, George Town before going by bus to Tanjong Tokong a town 15 kilometres away. Poh Hock Seah’s Chneah Hoay Ceremony or Flame Watching Ceremony

Poh Hock Seah CHNEAH HOAY Celebration Year 2016

21st to 23rd February 2016 (14th to 16th Day of the Lunar 1st Moon)

In observing the annual ‘Chneah Hoay’ ceremony, the Seah will be holding a three days celebration, 21st to 23rd February 2016, with the following programe:-

Ceremonies

1. Pilgrimage to Hai Choo Soo Temple

Sunday, 21st February 2016 (14th Day of Lunar 1st Moon)

11:00 a.m. : Gathering of Members at Poh Hock Seah

12:00 noon : Paying homage to Twa Peh Kong

1:00 p.m. : Lunch is served

2:00 p.m. : Start of Pilgrimage- Religious Ceremony- Ceremonial hand-over of ‘Chiew Lor’ (Hand held urn)

2:00 p.m. : Procession leaves Poh Hock Seah to Jalan Magazine and thence proceed by bus to Hai Choo Soo Temple, Tanjong Tokong.

2. “Chneah Hoay” Ceremony or Flame Watching Ceremony

Sunday, 21st February 2016 (14th Day of Lunar 1st Moon)

11:00 p.m. : Commencement of “Chneah Hoay” Ceremony

Note : 1. For purpose of identification, only Members with Membership card are permitted inside the Hai Choo Soo Temple during the “Chneah Hoay” Ceremony.

2. Those who are in deep mourning or have recently (two weeks prior to the celebration) been to Funeral Parlor or places of confinement are strictly to avoid being inside the Temple during this “Chneah Hoay” Ceremony.

3. “Cham Hneoh” & Return Journey

Monday, 22nd February 2016 (15th Day of Lunar 1st Moon)

5:00 a.m. : The “Hneoh Tnah” will leave Hai Choo Soo Temple for its traditional “Cheam Hneoh” visits to homes of Members and selected Chinese Temples within inner George Town.

8:00 p.m. : The float procession, starting from Seng Hong Beow Temple at Jalan C.Y. Choy will make its return journey back to POH HOCK SEAH.

4. “Khoe Koon”

Tuesday, 23rd February 2016 (16th Day of Lunar 1st Moon)

4:00 p.m. : “Khoe Koon” Ceremony

5. “Chneah Hoay Peng Aun” Lantern

Lighting of “Chneah Hoay Peng Aun” Lantern from 6th February 2016 to 24th February 2016. (Corresponding to 28th day of 12th Moon of the Lunar Calendar until the 17th day of 1st Moon of the Lunar Calendar).

Members who are interested to light the lantern (RM50 each) please register with the Seah. Your members of family and friends are also welcomed to participate.

The Management Committee would like to appeal to members and well-wishers for donations to defray the expenses for this Celebration. We would like to thank you for your support given the past and we look forward to your generous support this year.

宝福社2016年岁次丙申 年请火仪式

农历正月十四日至十六日

（公元二零一六年二月廿一日至廿三日）
迳启者 ： 本社循例定於农历丙申年正月十四日至十六日（公元二零一六年二月廿一日至廿三日）举行常年请火仪式。
庆典仪式游行至海珠屿大伯公庙

农历正月十四日 （公元二零一六年二月廿一日，星期日）

上午11时 ：社员齐聚宝福社

中午12时 ：向大伯公上香行膜拜礼。

下午1时 ：午餐招待。

下午2时 ：游行开始-宗教仪式-移交手炉仪式。

下午2时 ：游行队伍由宝福社大伯公庙出发游行至头条路，然后乘特备巴士前往丹绒道光海珠屿大伯公庙。

请火仪式

农历正月十四日 （公元二零一六年二月廿一日，星期日）

晚上11时 ：请火仪式开始。

备注 ：1.社员要入庙参加请火仪式者，应佩戴本社社员证，以示辩证。

2.身有重孝者，或最近二周前去过丧宅或产房者严禁入庙

参香及回程

农历正月十五日 （公元二零一六年二月廿二日，星期一）

凌晨5时 ：大伯公香担由海珠屿大伯公庙出发，前往市区各约定社员及有关 庙宇参香。

晚上8时 ：花车游行由崔耀才路城隍庙出发，按行程返回宝福社大伯公庙。

犒军仪式

农历正月十六日 （公元二零一六年二月廿三日，星期二）

下午4时：犒军仪式。

大伯公请火平安灯

农历乙未年十二月廿八日至 丙申年正月十七日

（公元二零一六年二月六日至二月廿四日）

本社将於农历乙未年十二月廿八日至 丙申年正月十七日为善信点燃大伯公请火平安灯。每盏平安灯数额为RM50。凡吾社社员，善男信女有意购灯点燃供奉祈福者，请向本社登记购灯供奉。

本社理事会欢迎社员热烈参与本年度请火仪式，并慷慨乐捐庆典经费。

祈愿大伯公赐福大家财源广进，继续保佑大家。谢谢！
