Passing Away of A Great Uncle
Words from Suzie Ong, her youngest daughter,
Heaven! That’s where Pa’s beautiful soul has gone to. Even as we mourn Pa’s passing on, we are also given the privilege to accord and honour Pa a red funeral befitting his longevity. Pa has indeed led a blissful and healthy life, right up to his ripe old age. He leaves us with an abundance of happy memories that we shall cherish forever ♡

My Blog and Comments
My mother and myself shall be away this week-end to attend our Uncle’s funeral in PJ. Deepest condolences to my Aunty (my late father’s fourth sister) and the family. My uncle had lived a very rich and happy life and I was also personally involved when I stayed with the family in Taiping during my school holidays and during my pharmacy training with the Government Medical Stores (GMS) in Petaling Jaya during varsity days. We shall surely miss you.

NOTE: The blogger shall be away in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur for his uncle’s funeral ceremony and rites, till next coming Monday, January 25,2016. My humble apologies to all of you if I cannot view your blogs for the next few days.
As per local Malaysian of Chinese origin, the age of the dead person is added another 3 years to his original age if one dies below 90 years old. For example, Mr X died at the age of 80 years old, in his obituary the age is stated as 80 + 3 = 83 years old. As my uncle is above 90, another 5 years are added to his age of 92 on his death. Thus, the age stated is 97 years old.

A Day Bus Trip to Petaling Jaya   Leave a comment

A Day Bus Trip to Petaling Jaya
I bought an Aeroline Express Bus ticket headed to One Utama (1-U) at Damansara, near Petaling Jaya, Selangor at RM60.00 at Queensbay Mall for the Tuesday, November 24,2015. Tickets for Sunday 22.11.2015 and Monday 23.11.2015 were sold out, as it was a busy week-end for Penang with the Marathon and start of the school holidays. Stated on the ticket was the 9.00 am schedule but when the bus left the station at Queensbay Mall, it was 9.30 am. Weather was good but cloudy most of the all. A smooth ride and quite well served by the male steward with a small bottled water drink and vegetarian bee-hoon in a plastic box. A hot coffee with dairy creamer followed after Ipoh. A short stop was made at a petrol station at Simpang Pulai near Ipoh. After the stop it was non-stop to Petaling Jaya. Finally we reached One Utama Bus Terminal for Aeroline at 1.40 pm. After a stop rest, it is back to Penang by car.

PS Photographs are of poorer quality as taken through the dusty glass window of the moving bus.

Petaling Jaya area is a heaven for blogging and uploading photographs compared to my home in Penang due to the fast internet speed. So, I am taking the opportunity to upload more photographs plus some blogs and re-date the individual blogs later.

I flew down to Petaling Jaya on Saturday, 10 September, 2011 and was back in Penang the following afternoon for a Pharmaceutical Update sponsored by Pfizer Malaysia. I stayed a night at the One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. As Saturday was a free period before the update on Sunday, I had the opportunity of contacting a former colleague from Diethelm Malaysia Sdn Bhd or now known as DKSH for a tour of Kuala Lumpur. We went to the Pavilion, the latest shopping mall in the city – to be featured tomorrow in photos. A quick trip to Petaling Street area where we managed to capture some shots of the Taoist Temple founded by Kapt. Yap Ah Loy, an Indian Hindu Temple and the exterior of a Kuan Kong Temple in this area. These photo series shall be featured this week. Hope you like these. Bye.
