This children theatre is inspired by “The Rainbow Mountain”, a children story written by Ikeda Daisaku. While a mother is telling the story of “The Rainbow Mountain” to her three children, she gets a phone call and needs to leave the house for a while. In the mid of waiting for their mother to come back, the three siblings notice there is a mysterious light projected from the top of the hill in front of their house. Without hesitation, they see it as the Rainbow Mountain and decide to go and find out the secret of the birth of a rainbow by themselves.

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, and to benefit the Tenaganita Women’s Shelter, the Penang Players Music and Drama Society present Richard Greenberg’s Three Days of Rain. Spanning two generations, Three Days of Rain is a heart-warming, and sometimes tragically funny, examination on family connections and the inherent loneliness of being human.

Developing Your Eye ~ Day Six: “Solitude” — The Rule of Thirds
Day Six: “Solitude” — The Rule of Thirds
Today, let’s capture solitude: the state of being alone, or a lonely and uninhabited place. What does this word look like to you?
Find inspiration in this shot of a lone girl sitting in the sand at Lanikai Beach in Oahu, Hawaii:
Day Six: “Solitude” — The Rule of Thirds Today, let’s capture solitude: the state of being alone, or a lonely and uninhabited place.
Today’s Tip: Pay attention to the placement of your subject. As you frame your shot, consider the Rule of Thirds, which is a great introductory lesson in composition. Divide your shot into thirds, both horizontally and vertically, so you get nine parts:
Place your subject at the intersections of these lines (or along them) to create a dynamic, off-center composition.
Visit the resource page for details on the Rule of Thirds. Remember to tag your post with #developingyoureye and check the Reader to see posts from fellow course participants!
An unidentified detective, a mysterious lady, a rebellious girl, an unemployed artist, a greedy cousin, and a murder case. What happened between them? Who is the murderer?

It was indeed a very tiring day yesterday ( Wednesday – 6th. July, 2016 ) of pure photo-shooting only. In the morning, it was the PSP Martial Art Event and later evening at Penangpac ( Performing Arts Centre of Penang ) at Straits Quay, Penang it was followed by the photo-shooting of PLAY – a new version of a game theatre show experience/drama where the audience/photographers can walk around the performers asking questions to solve a murder mystery.
Syiok Sendiri ( Self-indulgence ) – the Play
We did a photo-shoot at this Play rehearsal at Penang Performing Art Centre, Straits Quay, Penang. This is a satire.

SYIOK SENDIRI ! A Very Merry Malaysian Christmas !
笑神犀利!一個馬來西亞聖誕節!
This is the first installment of the ‘Syiok Sendiri’ series, a comedy-variety project. Expect drivel material, not-so-high-brow stuff, and occasional ‘siapa makan cili terasa pedas’ (tak faham, google la ye!) moments. But ingat ye, no need to be tersinggung and all ok. It’s all in good fun. So datanglah beramai-ramai to penangpac from 5-7 December and join the Syiok Sendiri crew as we celebrate Christmas…a la Malaysia. Enjoy the show!
