The Plant Kingdom is divided into 10 Divisions. However, I am mostly concerned with the Division Magnoliophyta – commonly known as angiosperms or flowering plants with an approximate count of over 400,000 species made up of over 300 Families. These plants have leaves, stems and roots as basic strucutres. Their seeds are encapsulated in a shell-like coating. The Division is further divided into 2 Classes known as Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledons with 2 seed leaves) and Liliopsida (Monocotyledons as the young plants have only 1 seed leaf).
